OW Ventures SCR Joins CMVM's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Protocol, link here.
OW Ventures SCR, S.A. has signed and adhered to the Protocol on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms, promoted by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). This protocol aims to strengthen investor protection and promote confidence in the financial markets by providing accessible and efficient mechanisms for resolving disputes between financial institutions and retail investors.
By joining this protocol, OW Ventures SCR commits to accepting the use of ADR mechanisms — including mediation and arbitration — for resolving disputes with consumers who qualify as non-professional investors, particularly when prior complaints have not been fully addressed through internal or CMVM procedures.
In accordance with the Protocol on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms signed with the CMVM, OW Ventures SCR, S.A. informs that non-professional investors (consumers) may resort to ADR mechanisms, including arbitration, when a prior complaint submitted to OW Ventures SCR and/or the CMVM has not been fully resolved. This applies to disputes arising from the management of collective investment undertakings or related activities, provided the amount in dispute does not exceed €30,000. ADR procedures offer a simple, expeditious, and low-cost alternative to judicial proceedings and are handled by arbitration centres certified by the CMVM.
In compliance with the protocol, OW Ventures SCR uses the national arbitration network recommended by the CMVM, which ensures territorial coverage throughout Portugal. This network includes the following certified Consumer Arbitration Centres:
Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo da Região de Coimbra (CACRC)
Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa (CACCL)
Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Ave, Tâmega e Sousa (TRIAVE)
Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto (CICAP)
Centro de Informação, Mediação e Arbitragem de Consumo – Tribunal Arbitral de Consumo (CIAB)
Centro de Informação, Mediação e Arbitragem do Algarve (CIMAAL)
Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC)
These centres offer consumers a simple, fast, and low-cost alternative to judicial proceedings, through neutral third-party mediators or arbitrators with appropriate qualifications in capital markets and financial regulation.
Through this initiative, OW Ventures SCR reinforces its commitment to transparency, investor rights, and responsible conduct in the financial sector.
