Angels Way Invests €50K in Purrmi as Part of AI-Driven Portfolio

Purrmi crafts 100% natural, high-protein cat food using human-grade ingredients to tackle common feline health issues such as obesity and chronic renal disease. Their formula delivers double the protein of mainstream brands without fillers or harmful additives, providing a clean, effective, and science-based nutritional approach for cats.
This aligns seamlessly with Angels Way’s vision of health and innovation. Purrmi addresses serious pet health challenges with natural solutions grounded in science. With a new production facility near Maia/Vila do Conde capable of producing up to 200,000 units annually, the company is poised for strong growth, expanding its footprint into Spain and Italy.
Following a successful €200K pre-seed round, Purrmi is now closing a seed round with participation from both national and international VCs, aiming to accelerate its European expansion. The recently opened factory allows scalable production and enhanced quality control, supporting their goal of selling 200,000 units and feeding over 100,000 cats across Europe. Their growing distribution includes major Portuguese pet stores and direct-to-consumer online channels.
Purrmi was selected through Angels Way’s democratic, community-led investment model. Over 40 startups were evaluated through open pitch reviews and discussions, with individual investors contributing a minimum of €1,200. This inclusive approach promotes transparency and empowers individuals to support diverse sectors, from AI to deep-tech food innovation.
The impact goes beyond one startup. For entrepreneurs, it proves that sectors like pet nutrition can draw serious investment. For investors, it showcases how small contributions can fuel tangible innovation. For the market, it reflects a maturing ecosystem where community-backed capital drives solutions to real-world challenges.
With this €50K investment, Purrmi joins Medgical, Granter.ai, and Dojo AI in Angels Way’s growing portfolio of early-stage Portuguese startups. It marks another step in Angels Way’s mission to invest €1 million into 20 impactful ventures across multiple domains, powered by community, driven by purpose.
